Mengenang Masa Kecil dengan Mainan Diecast

IKEBAYORAN – Kegemaran terhadap miniatur mobil yang terbuat dari bahan diecast metal kini menjadi semacam gaya hidup tersendiri. Di Jakarta, ada komunitas penggemar diecast yang menamakan dirinya Pusat Ngumpulnya Diecaster (PND). Komunitas ini terbentuk pada 10 Mei 2010 dan kini memiliki anggota lebih dari 1000 orang yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia.
Pusat Ngumpulnya Diecaster selama ini dikenal dengan kolektor mobil-mobilan diecast produk dari Hot Wheels dan Matchbox. Menurut mereka, kedua produsen itu memiliki koleksi unik ketimbang merek produk diecast lain. Meski demikian, tidak semua anggota komunitas mengoleksi jenis mobil diecast yang dikeluarkan produsen itu.
Meski banyak jenis ukuran mobil-mobilan diecast, komunitas PND hanya mengkhususkan diri mengoleksi mobil-mobilan dari logam dengan ukuran skala 1:64. Alasannya, ukuran ini sangat pas untuk mereka nikmati karena pertimbangan menghemat tempat.
Namun tak jarang, hobi ini bisa dijadikan kegiatan yang menguntungkan, apalagi jika barang yang dijual dari jenis langka atau paling banyak dicari. “Ada juga jenis diecast yang diproduksi secara terbatas, koleksi khusus, atau bahkan cacat produksi, maka jenis ini harganya bisa melonjak jutaan hingga puluhan juta rupiah,” ujar Danny, diecaster PND. Para diecaster PND menyebutnya barang Treasure Hunt atau harta karun.
Diecast dengan harga yang demikian melambung biasanya dijual masih dalam keadaan terbungkus dengan kardus aslinya atau biasa disebut Mint In Blister. “Pembungkusnya diusahakan tetap seperti baru atau setidaknya tidak mengalami kerusakan agar harganya tetap tinggi,” cerita Ari, diecaster yang lain.
Masing-masing diecaster PND memiliki kesukaan yang berbeda, baik dari segi merek maupun jenis mobil. Senna misalnya, memiliki hobi mengoleksi mobil jenis box. Koleksinya sekarang ini telah mencapai 3.000 buah. Senna bahkan mampu membuat mobilbox bercat dasar hitam kemudian dimodifikasi menjadi warna-warni. Ia juga mampu membuat gambar untuk corak mobil mainan dengan cetakan tertentu sesuai dengan pesanan.
PND biasanya melakukan Swap Meet (ajang pertemuan, ajang jual beli, barter hingga sharing) setiap dua pekan sekali, yaitu minggu pertama dan kedua. Mereka berkumpul di tempat umum seperti parkir kolam renang Senayan untuk saling berbagi informasi hingga bertukar koleksi.
